Caleb fell in love with coffee, the industry and the people in and around it after his first cafe job as a barista in 2004.
Thisfollowedbybeingaroaster as well as claims to Victorian Barista Champion 2010, 2011 & 2013.
Years of experience roasting, sourcing and brewing at the likes of Five Senses Coffee, Ceremony Coffee Roasters
in Maryland USA and with fellow Mornington comrades at Commonfolk Coffee has culminated in starting his own show...
After an initial hiatus from the coffee industry, Caleb came to the realisation that he missed coffee and roasting. Starting up again with a humble 1kg Probat for some fun roasting evolved to become what Prodigal is today. He found that coffee and roasting kept him grounded, driven, busy and energised!
Their prime focus is “Delicious simplicity” - delicious coffee, being approachable and keeping it simple. “We focus on flavour first. Flavour, transparencyandwhatthe market wants”. Because seeing their coffee being enjoyed by others is most fulfilling.
